Step-by-Step Process to Register and Pay NPTEL Exam Fees
Step 1: Login to NPTEL Portal
1. Visit https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in
2. Click on Login.
3. Enter the registered email ID and password used during course enrollment.
4. After login, the NPTEL dashboard will open.
Step 2: Access Exam Registration
1. On the dashboard, click on “Register for Exam”.
2. Eligible courses for certification will be displayed.
Step 3: Select Course(s)
1. Select the course(s) for which you want to appear in the exam.
2. Ensure minimum assignment eligibility is fulfilled.
3. Click Proceed.
Step 4: Choose Exam Date and Session
1. Select the available exam date.
2. Choose exam session (Morning/Afternoon).
3. Click Next.
Step 5: Select Exam Centre
1. Choose preferred exam city.
2. You may add multiple preferences.
3. Confirm selection.
Step 6: Review Cart
1. Verify course name, exam date, exam centre, and fee.
2. Add to cart and proceed to payment.
Step 7: Pay Exam Fees
1. Exam fee is Rs. 1000 per course.
2. Payment modes include Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
3. Complete payment via secure gateway.
Step 8: Confirmation
1. After successful payment, confirmation message will appear.
2. Download and save payment receipt.
Step 9: Download Admit Card
1. Admit card will be available 7–10 days before exam.
2. Download hall ticket from dashboard.
3. Carry admit card and valid photo ID to exam centre.
Important Notes:
- Enrollment is free; certification exam is paid.
- Exam fee payment is mandatory for certification.
- No offline exams are conducted.
